The World’s Smallest Gallery

Determined to figure out a way to show his large scale landscape photos on the web, photographer David Anthony Hall decided to do something different. With works that are up to 3 meters long or about 9 feet, he knew he had to think “outside-the-box,” ultimately coming up with the idea of building the world’s smallest gallery. By reducing the size of his works to a scale of 1:50 and then added in miniature figures, he hopes to show his audience both the scale and size of his images for those looking at them on a standard 17” computer screen. The website he created is called One2Fifty.com.

The delicate balance between sanity and depression at Christmas time.
I neither had the time, energy nor the inclination to sort out a Christmas card this year sorry. I did pick out this image that I thought was particularly apt, photo was taken in Richmond Park durning a extreme winter frost on Thursday 20th December 2007 and I feel it shows the delicate balance between sanity and depression which is so often visited on many at this time of year. Bah, humbug to Cameron and all the philistines and a Very Merry Christmas to everyone else.

For the love of Tea! Oops I mean Trees!!! The original TreePorn Site by @hannahkc

I started Tree Porn because I love trees. I spent a great deal of my childhood running around forests in the UK and Sweden and South Africa, but have lived in London for the last ten years, so I don’t get to see trees as much these days. Beautiful photographs of trees and forests make me feel happy, so I started to collect them.
